Do you know what raw materials are the favorite for functional drinks?
Although there is no clear standard definition of functional drinks, it can be seen from the standard and market products that functional drinks are often defined by keywords such as "specific ingredients", "physiological characteristics", "electrolytes", "energy", "nutritional needs", "minerals" and "functions. Based on these keywords, we conducted a survey and analysis of nearly a hundred functional beverages on supermarkets and e-commerce platforms.

Based on these keywords, we conducted a survey and analysis of nearly a hundred functional beverages on supermarkets and e-commerce platforms.
The collected samples were classified in strict accordance with the General Rules for Beverages, and it was found that there were many types of beverages involved, of which 17% were health foods. Special purpose beverages have the largest number of categories, accounting for 50%; Flavor beverages account for 14%, and products with no clear category account for 10%; Other categories include protein beverages, fruit and vegetable juices and their beverages, carbonated beverages and plant beverages.
The main raw materials used in all samples involve more than 50 kinds, according to the frequency of use statistics, it is followed by vitamin 293, functional auxiliary materials (such as fruit and vegetable juice, coffee, medlar, tea, etc.) 110, minerals/trace elements 93%, functional sugars (such as inositol, dietary fiber, d-ribose, etc.) 50%, functional ingredients (caffeine, L-carnitine, γ-aminobutyric acid) 50%, amino acids/peptides 24%, and carbon dioxide 16%.
